KATE’S SHORTBREAD COOKIES

 

 1 1/2 cups high quality butter (Land O Lakes)

1 cup sugar

2 egg yolks

1/4 tsp salt

1 tsp vanilla

4 cups cake flour, sifted

2 cups finely ground pecans (or walnuts, if you prefer)

 

oven: 325 degrees

 

Chill dough.

Roll into balls and bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 12 minutes.

Watch closely. Do not let cookies get brown!

 When cool, roll in powdered sugar.

Store in a container with enough powdered sugar to cover them completely.
